Physiotherapy

Physiotherapists are experts in human movement and function.  The goal of Physiotherapy is to provide pain relief, restore function and increase movement following injury.  Your initial visit will include a thorough examination of your condition, including some specialised testing to give your Physiotherapist an accurate indication of the cause of your problem. Your Physiotherapist will discuss these findings with you and plan and implement a treatment that is individual to your needs and lifestyle. We value our reputation of being ‘hands on’ with our Physiotherapy treatments. Our Physiotherapists primarily use physical treatment such as joint mobilisation and other soft tissue techniques during treatment. As an adjunct to our high level of manual skills we also use therapeutic exercise and equipment such as ultrasound, to achieve optimum results.  Our goal is to enhance, restore and maintain the quality of life that can only be achieved through pain free physical movement.

Aquatic Physiotherapy

Aquatic Physiotherapy is Physiotherapy in a heated pool.  It is a program of exercises individually designed by our specially trained Physiotherapist who works one on one with clients in the pool.  The buoyancy of water minimizes the stress on the muscles and joints of the legs and spine, thereby allowing normal pain free movement.

A variety of conditions respond well to the comforting nature of water.  Fear of water or poor swimming ability is no reason to avoid Aquatic Physiotherapy, as our Physiotherapist will supervise your activities in only waist deep water.  Your first visit will be to our clinic where a full assessment of your condition and treatment plan specific to your needs will be competed.
